In a new interview with Humans of Bombay, actor Imran Khan shared five key revelations about his life and career:

  1. Childhood Challenges: Imran developed a stammer at age three due to a stressful school environment following his parents’ divorce. His mother eventually took him out of the school to alleviate his stress and anxiety.
  2. Early Acting Journey: He began acting as a child in “Jo Jeeta Woh Sikander” and initially wanted to be an archeologist, inspired by Indiana Jones movies. His major acting debut was in 2008 with “Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na.”
  3. Overcoming Depression: Imran started emerging from depression last year, driven by the realization that people still cared about him. This motivated him to engage more with the public and address the concern shown by his fans.
  4. Skinny Shaming and Body Image: He faced skinny shaming and struggled with body image issues, leading him to use steroids to bulk up. This experience taught him to disconnect from external pressures and accept his natural body.
  5. Co-parenting and Career Comeback: Following his separation from Avantika in 2019, he focused on co-parenting their daughter Imara, drawing from his own childhood experiences. Regarding his career, he is actively seeking a comeback project, carefully choosing roles that genuinely interest him, and avoiding endorsements to ensure his intentions are clear.
